Martin Luther King Jr. Day Rally

Please join us for a rally to defend democracy on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 19th. This event is not being promoted by Indivisible National, but here in Kona felt it was time to raise our voices (and signs) to remind everyone that we will not be silenced by this regime’s threats of violence and hate.

So, in honor of MLK, and so many who helped him promote PEACE for JUSTICE, we are taking up his torch to shine the light of liberty in honor of him on his Birthday. We hope you will be there with us in person to show your solidarity.

This day shall be a joyous day of remembrance of those who came before us as they fought for liberty. We seek to gather like-minded folks NOW to celebrate our future potential for an America (and world) that is so much better than what we left behind. This day should remind folks: That EVERYONE is welcome here. That everyone must be treated with dignity and compassion. That all of us deserves to be respected by the ‘rule of law.’ That we truly are one people and one Earth. Let today be a day of remembrance and hope. Let us share our light, because sharing our light takes nothing from us, and yet lights the way for others to succeed. So today is not a day of anger, but one of celebration and hope for a brighter future for ALL.

Martin Luther King Jr. taught us that justice is worth fighting for and yet the most successful way to achieve it is through non-violence and respect for everyone.
