Phone banks are easy to do virtually from home, and they make a big difference.

Thanks to the Texas Democrats breaking quorum (August 2025), a bright light was shed on gerrymandering and the importance of getting supporters of democracy to vote in State elections. State legislatures have enormous power regarding who can vote and how to vote.

As Texas demonstrates, State legislators who only pursue power undermine free and fair voting by redrawing districts that dilute the voting power of minorities.
